Whether you are in the mood for a vacation or staycation, one thing’s for sure, Melbourne city is a terrific getaway destination. There’s so much to see and do, if you are into art, the National Gallery of Victoria (NGV) and Federation square are both great choices and being only a few minutes walk from the Flinders Street train station. Or perhaps you want to watch a film on a massive cinema screen (that is 32 metres wide and 23 metres in height), then the Imax Theatre, a part of the Melbourne Museum would be a superb cinematic experience. Fine dining is also a splendid and wonderful way of spending your evening and in the heart of Southbank, and then afterwards, a walk along the Yarra River for some after dinner romance. If you then feel like a little entertainment and dessert, the Crown Casino complex is only a stroll away from Southgate [Southbank] precinct. Not to mention, Melbourne also houses a great variety of sports, should you be in the mood for some live competitive action, you can visit the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG) to the Rod Laver Arena, located close-by one another.
If you’re currently in planning mode, we suggest that you look up the perfect located/situated accommodation (spot) and start organising a place to stay, ensuring it’s not all booked out. Simply look under our holiday accommodation section of the search to find out more.
